Our Story
We believe higher education and healthcare drive knowledge creation, personal achievement, and a highly positive impact on their communities and the public good. We are a consulting firm focused on the business model of universities and healthcare systems with an emphasis on financial performance, the fiscal side of athletics, governance, capital investment, and strategic planning.
Our work supports strategic data-driven decision-making by senior administrative teams, governance boards, and legislatures. We believe these groups make very tough decisions that determine the destinies of their organizations and their communities. We understand the gravity of those choices and the long-term impact they make. We are here to help them make the very best decisions they can.

Founder and CEO
Our team is lead by Dr. Kim Schatzel. Dr. Schatzel has served as the president of two universities (Towson and Louisville), a board member of three major academic medical centers, a board member of two NCAA Division 1 Athletic Conferences, a provost, a dean of an AACSB business school, and a member of the faculty. Prior to her work in academia she had 20 successful years of business and new venture experience in the international OEM automotive manufacturing sector including serving as the CEO of the largest powdered metal manufacturer in the U.S.
